That's it! The very first edition of Assilah kite challenge is over...but don't worry there will be an 09 edition! Book already your weekends of July as it is already noted in Magicswell's agenda!
The competition as well as the whole event was a great success! Thanks to all participants and RedBull organization! This first event was as expected, we successed in bringing a big crowd from all surronding countries and we managed to run 3 different competitions! A fun race course, a freestyle contest as well as a waveriding session. Each of the 3 challenges brought a great show for all beach watchers a lot of FUN! We were especially stocked with the freestyle challenge keeping all challengers pushing hard their limits. Wind (20 to 30 knts) and waves (4 to 6 ft) were both there, awesome party and the BBQ was MAGIC.
This is without talking about Redbull rider Ruben Lenten SICK show sessions and Magicswell International Team Rider Miguel Willis for his kiteboarding Demo on one of the best spot of Oman.
We would like to thank our local Team Riders Marc and Robin for their results in the contest!

Wrap up of the 2008 PKRA, Kiteboarding World Tour in Cabarete, Dominivan Republic.
The final event heat of the day was between Hadlow and Kevin Langeree (Naish, Netherlands) who faced off once again. Langeree came out firing in the heat and did not give up even when he crashed his kite hard onto the beach. Completely unfazed Langeree went for 20 moves to Hadlow’s 15, who had fewer crashes but lacked in power, height and speed. Langeree seems to be more focused this year and has stepped up his riding, becoming the first ever repeat winner of the Cabarete World Cup since winning the title in 2006.
